At Genexyz ("we," "our," or "us"), we respect your right to control your personal information. This Account Deletion Policy explains how parents, guardians, or eligible users can request the deletion of their WonderKid account and associated data.

Who Can Request Account Deletion

Account deletion requests can be made by:

  • Parents or Guardians: For accounts of children under 13 years of age.
  • Users 13 and Older: For their own accounts created with their consent.

We require proper verification to ensure the request is legitimate and to protect user privacy.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your WonderKid account using either of the following methods:

Option 1: Through the WonderKid App (Recommended)

  • Open the WonderKid app on your device.
  • Navigate to Settings.
  • Tap on "Delete Account".
  • Confirm your decision when prompted.
  • Your account and all associated data will be permanently deleted.

Option 2: Contact Us via Email

If you prefer or are unable to delete your account through the app:

  • Email: Send a request to hello@genexyz.world with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
  • Provide Details: Include the email address associated with the account, the child's nickname (if applicable), and any additional information to help us verify your identity.

What Happens When You Delete an Account

Upon processing your account deletion request:

  • Account Access Terminated: The account will be permanently disabled, and you will no longer be able to log in or access WonderKid services.
  • Data Deletion: All personal information, including the child's nickname, age range, learning progress, conversation history, and interaction data will be permanently deleted from our active systems.
  • Parental Information: Associated parental account information will also be removed.
  • Irreversible Action: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data and learning progress will be lost.

Processing Time

In-App Deletion: When you delete your account through the WonderKid app, the deletion is processed immediately. Your account access will be terminated and your data will be permanently removed from our active systems right away.

Email Requests: Account deletion requests submitted via email will be processed within 30 days of receiving a verified request. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.

In some cases, email processing may take longer due to verification or technical requirements, but we will keep you informed throughout the process.

Data Retention Exceptions

While we delete most data immediately, certain information may be retained for limited purposes:

  • Legal Compliance: We may retain anonymized or aggregated data for legal, regulatory, or compliance purposes as required by law.
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: Minimal data may be kept temporarily to prevent abuse, protect user safety, or investigate violations of our Terms of Use.
  • Backup Systems: Data may persist in backup systems for up to 90 days before being permanently removed.

Any retained data will be stored securely and deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary.

Alternative: Data Export Before Deletion

Before deleting your account, you may request a copy of your data by emailing hello@genexyz.world. We will provide a downloadable file containing your personal information within a reasonable timeframe.
